Top Maps and Navigation Apps on Android in Russia: Q2 2023 Performance

In Q2 2023, the Maps and Navigation category on the Android platform in Russia saw significant activity. Here’s a breakdown of the performance of the top five apps based on weekly downloads and active users.

Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery maintained a robust presence throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads exhibited a fluctuating yet overall upward trend, starting at around 156K in late March and peaking at approximately 209K by the end of June. Active users also showed positive growth, rising from about 3.6M to over 3.9M during the same period.

Yandex Maps and Navigator demonstrated consistent weekly downloads, with a notable increase towards the end of the quarter. Downloads grew from around 151K in late March to a peak of approximately 227K by June's end. Active user numbers also increased steadily, starting at about 8.75M and reaching nearly 9.75M by the end of Q2.

2GIS beta saw a remarkable surge in weekly downloads mid-quarter, jumping from around 8K in early May to a peak of nearly 200K in early June. Active users followed a similar pattern, rising from about 110K in early May to over 360K by mid-June, before stabilizing around 315K by the end of the quarter.

Active user numbers, however, showed a slight decline from about 770K in late March to around 735K by early June, before recovering to approximately 777K by the end of June.
